OUR SPACE

Escape to the Blue Spruce, a bright & modern 800 sq ft mountain A-frame surrounded by serene woods that provides a secluded mountain retreat. Our cabin has easy access to outdoor activities & scenic drives.

Here’s what you can expect when you stay with us:

Bedrooms

We offer cozy & comfortable sleeping arrangements. Choose from three bedrooms:

• Bedroom 1: King bed on the main level with Smart TV
• Bedroom 2: Twin bed and Twin Trundle on the main level with Smart TV
• Loft Bedroom: King bed & Laptop friendly workspace in the semi-private loft accessed via a spiral staircase

Bathroom

• Tub/Shower combo
• Stacked washer & dryer

Kitchen Cook a delicious meal in our fully stocked kitchen!

• Full-size appliances
• Small appliances (blender, toaster, crock pot, Keurig/drip coffee maker)
• Cooking utensils, pots and pans, cookie sheet, strainer, knives, silverware, wine/bottle opener, glasses, Brita filter, etc.

Please note that we don’t provide oils, seasonings, spices, etc. and our kitchen does not offer a dishwasher.

Living Room

• Located on the main level with floor to ceiling windows/sliding glass doors that open to a private deck

• 1-touch gas fireplace to keep you warm and cozy

• Games & DVDs for everyone to enjoy

Dog-Friendly (no other pets are permitted)

Bring your furry friends

• Max 2 dogs per stay with non-refundable pet fee of $50 per dog per stay. Paid after booking

• Dogs must be fully housebroken and crated when no guests are present. Proof of current vaccinations must be provided for each dog prior to stay.

General Info

• Our community offers many hiking trails for guests of all ages, including your furry friends!

• Enjoy scenic drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway, just 10 miles away from the cabin.

• Other activities include swimming, visiting breweries, and paddle boating.

Parking and EV-Friendly

• Gravel driveway with parking for 2 vehicles.

• EV-friendly with a dedicated NEMA 14-50 outlet. Just bring your own mobile charger!

Guest Access

You will have private access to the entire cabin during your stay, so make yourself at home

Check in via a personalized door code (to our smart lock) that is provided 2 days prior to arrival.

You will also have access to the Powder Horn Mountain amenities (at no additional cost):

✧ Swimming Pool (open 10am-Dusk, from Memorial Day to Labor day. No lifeguards are on duty.) ✧ Clubhouse w/public Wi-Fi, game room, & meeting room (accessible via key card) ✧ Fitness Center (inside Clubhouse & accessible via key) ✧ Tennis/Pickleball, Half Basketball Court, Frisbee golf course, & Horseshoe Pits (just bring your own equipment) ✧ 3 lakes for canoeing, kayaking or fishing (bring your own canoe/kayak or use one of the community paddle boats) ✧ Miles & miles of hiking trails ✧ Campground along Laurel Creek (take a dip in the river or reserve a campground to enjoy the firepit & bring your own s’mores ingredients!) ✧ Picnic Area at Bright Penny Lake w/picnic tables, charcoal grills, fire pit, & playground) ✧ Fishing in the community lakes do not require a license. Fishing outside of the community (i.e. Elk Creek-a state-stocked trout stream) requires a license. Please research before casting a rod. ✧ Bird watching ✧ Stargazing from anywhere in the community!

Please note, to use any outdoor community grill or fire ring, you must make a reservation for a specific site with the front gate staff.

Anyone under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at any of the community amenities. The amenities are managed by a 3rd party and host is not responsible for changes in availability.
