THE SPACE The Hidden Moose is a cozy 940 sq ft A-frame in the woods that sleeps 6 and is dog friendly! We offer easy access to 4-season activities while being close to major attractions such as N. Conway.
3 BEDROOMS (all on second floor)
- Primary Bedroom 1 King bed w/private balcony that overlooks the woods & brook
- 2nd Bedroom 1 Full & 1 Twin bed (connected to the king bedroom)
- 3rd Loft Bedroom 1 Queen bed (open loft at top of stairs)

KITCHEN
- The stocked kitchen is available for you to whip up a tasty meal!
- You’ll enjoy: Keurig/Drip Coffee Maker, Microwave, Toaster, Oven, Slow Cooker, utensils, cutlery, dishware, and more!
- Note there is no dishwasher

- Wood burning stove (only indoor Maine wood should be used)
OUTDOOR AMENITIES
- The backyard is large & great for lawn games, firepitting & hanging out! Pets also love it!
- We offer a deck, hot tub, hammock, & Solo Stove fire pit for your outdoor enjoyment
- We provide a canoe & paddle board (Memorial Day - Columbus Day only) for a little fun on the lake. Our beach wagon makes it easy to transport items to & from the private beach (exclusive complimentary access for our guests).
PARKING & EV CHARGING
- There is plenty of parking on site for 4 cars (please only park in the driveway).
- We are EV Friendly w/a NEMA 14-50 Outlet for our guests! Please bring your own compatible mobile EV charger.
GENERAL INFO
- Wood Stove & Radiant heating downstairs is available during Winter months. A/C is available during Summer months via 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs portable AC units.
- We have a whole house generator in the event of any power outages!
- Free Wifi.
- The entire premises are for guest use except the shed (with the exception of the life vests and oars) and the closet areas marked “no guest access”
DOG FRIENDLY
- We welcome up to two dogs per stay with a non-refundable $50 fee per dog. For the comfort & safety of all, dogs must be housebroken and crated when alone. Guests will need to provide vaccination records for their pet. No other animals permitted.
GUEST ACCESS You will have private access to the entire home during your stay, so make yourself at home.
Check in is via a personalized door code (to our smart lock) that is provided 2 days prior to arrival.
You will also have access to the Kimball Lake Shores Community Lake and Beach at no additional cost.
Guests assume all responsibility and liability for use of the home and any community facilities.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
- There are stairs to the bedrooms and to the decks.
- Wood burning fire place - Bring your own INDOOR seasoned hardwood (must be wood from Maine) for any indoor fires. Also ensure there is no fire going when you are not present.
- The cabin is located in the woods and the power does go out on occasion. We have a whole house generator that will kick on should the power go out.
- You may see & hear bugs, furry critters of all sizes, & reptiles. Our property has regularly scheduled pest control, however, we can’t guarantee that any such critters will not be visible in & around the property. Please try to keep doors and windows closed, do not leave food outside to prevent entry of unwanted critters. Also do not feed any wildlife as they are wild animals. No refunds will be provided if a local critter visits the property.
- We are in the woods and the Internet may be slow at times. No gaming is possible due to internet & we recommend that you download any large content before you leave home.
- We also offer a smart TV! Just bring your login information for your favorite streaming providers & you’ll be ready to watch your favorite programming!
- Please note that cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier. You can always connect to the internet for wifi calling.
- Please take off your shoes in the house to prevent damage to the floors.
- Children are welcome, however, the cabin may not be suitable for young children because of the indoor and outdoor fireplaces, outdoor decks, & stairs. Parents should use their own discretion when booking.
- No pets allowed on furniture and guests must pick up pet waste or a $65 clean up fee will be imposed.
- Winter procedures: Please turn heat to 65 F when checking out using thermostat at base of stairs.
- Summer procedures: Do not turn off or disconnect portable AC units.
- We do not send maintenance to the property during your stay. Only after you depart.
- No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are beyond our control (including availability of community amenities).

Important Information
Please remember that you are staying at a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect and if any problems arise, we will do our best to take care of the problem as soon as possible. Note that there is no one living on site.
Self check-in is via a personalized door code sent to your smart lock 2 days prior to arrival. You will have private access to the entire home for the duration of your stay.
Guests bringing dogs must provide proof of current vaccinations prior to the stay. Dogs must be fully housebroken and crated when no guests are present. Pet fees apply per dog per stay and are non-refundable.
House Rules
Relax, unplug those handheld devices, have fun and enjoy your time at the Hidden Moose!
- We welcome 6 people max, 4 vehicles max.
- You must also be 25 or older to rent this property (children with parents are allowed).
- Important: We are committed to protecting our property, our guests, and keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations, which is why you will be asked to complete our independent ID verification process.
- Please note: Before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details with us to complete your booking. You will be contacted via email and/or text to complete the verification.
- No smoking or any substance inside the house, on the deck, or near the house. You may smoke near the creek or in the wooded area away from the cabin, please refrain from smoking if the doors or window to the home are open. Immediate cancellation without refund for non-compliance as well as any necessary fees to rid our home of odors and litter.
- The grill is for you to cook like Ramsay! Please be sure to clean the grill and shut the propane off so other people can get their grill on.
- The speed limit is 10MPH in the neighborhood..Please don't have the speed police unleash
- Things happen...if something breaks please let us know so we can order a replacement!
Hot Tub
- Drinks encouraged (in plastic cups provided no glass please) and star gazing required! Check out the milky way and insane stars.
- Please shower first to remove all lotions, deodorants, perfumes & body oil (gross, I know - you won't want to find out the hard way)..No one loves that dirty water.
- Please no spray tans - this body of water can't handle it but the lake can!
- We don't soak in your toilet - so please don't pee in ours!
- Please make sure the hot tub lights are off, water fountain is off and cover is properly secured after use.
Furry Friends
- 2 dogs max (with $50 fee/dog). No other types of animals permitted.
- Dogs must be housebroken. Current vaccination records must be provided prior to your stay.
- No pets on furniture please. We LOVE pets..but we don't love their fur 😃
- You must run around for at least 30 minutes/day so your parents and family can sit back and relax while you take a nice long snooze. Your family will thank me... **NOTE: Puppers are not permitted on the beach between 10 am - 6 pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
- It's your mom/dads doo-ty to pick up your waste.. even in the snow. We provide pet waste bags in case your parents forget yours! Please make sure your parents put your doo-doo into the kitchen trash and tie off the bag- no lose poop in the trash bin outside please. The trash is removed by hand 😬
- Make sure your parents wipe your paws after you're done frolicking outside.
- Please don't let our furniture get hairy - you're super cute and we love you but our furniture does not.
- If you choose to go after a skunk..you will smell, like really bad. Please do not enter back into the home. Please have your parents use the Skunk kit that is under the cabinet and give you a bath in the brook. Don't chase skunks....you'll be much better off.
- Fryeburg has a leash law, I know - annoying. So please make sure your parents have you on a leash at all times especially at the beach and walking around in the neighborhood.
Other Notes
- We provide a canoe and paddle board Memorial Day - Columbus Day. We also provide life vests and a beach wagon. We suggest bringing your own beach towels.
- Check out - we would totally love if you could do all your dishes before check out and throw your trash (bagged please) in the trash bin outside.
- Shhhh. We are in an association where there are quiet hours from 10PM-7AM. Just don't scream like wolves or blast music like its an outdoor concert and you'll be golden. Sound travels FAST.
- Feel free to use the firepit! We do not provide firewood but most gas stations will sell it. Please just make sure it's out before going to bed.. You can use a pot from the kitchen with some water and dump it on in.
- Mother nature loves throwing curve balls - We suggest having 4WD/AWD in the winter months.
- The Hidden Moose has an indoor wood stove. Please bring a few bundles of wood (must be indoor Maine wood), light a fire and relax!
